PORTLAND, MAINE – In recognition of her industry achievement and impact on the local Maine community, Senior Project Manager Christina Consigli has been recognized on the 2025 Mainebiz 40 Under 40 List. This annual award recognizes outstanding young professionals and rising stars in Maine’s business community.

“Professionally, as a builder, completing a complex and complicated project that I know will have a significant impact on the community and help create more opportunities for Maine and families like mine, is what I am most proud of.”

With more than a decade of diverse industry experience, Christina has helped deliver some of Maine’s most complex projects, including those that have helped transform local academic resources for current and future students. On Colby College’s campus, Christina played a key role in the delivery of both the Johnson Pond Houses – a new, four-building student residence hall – as well as the Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts, which unites and strengthens the regional Waterville arts community.

Currently, Christina is leading the Consigli project team building a new, permanent home in Portland for the Roux Institute at Northeastern University through the creation of its new Alfond Center. Once complete, the campus will serve as a hub for innovation and research, as well as drive sustained economic growth in Maine.

“I’ve realized that it matters much less what you do with your life and much more about who you do it with. Construction is all about working with a team to build something great. On many of our projects, we have hundreds if not thousands of people who help the project come together, and there is nothing more fulfilling than working with other like-minded individuals to build a lasting impact on the community. Every day I’m motivated to be the best person I can be, not just for myself, but for my team.”

An active member of her personal and professional community, Christina is a committed advocate for local workforce development and efforts to build a stronger, more diverse industry. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Mitchell Institute, an organization aimed at increasing educational opportunities for Maine students, as well as on the Board of Directors for Hardy Girls, which partners with local youth to create a more equitable society.

Honorees are selected from a variety of industries to make up a class of young leaders who share a commitment to business success, personal growth and a passion for strengthening the Maine communities where they live and work.

BOSTON, MA – In celebration of Women in Construction Week, Stephanie O’Brien participated in the Boston Business Journal’s Table of Experts to discuss her career path and offered advice for young women interested in pursuing futures in the industry. This year’s Women in Construction Week theme, “Keys to the Future,” celebrates the strength and knowledge of women and the important role they play in shaping the future of the construction industry.

Joined by other industry leaders, O’Brien shared what drew her to pursue a career in construction, and how her work as a Project Executive with バカラ カジノ inspires her.

“I find construction is just different than other industries in many ways, but what stuck out to me the most was really the tangible, lasting impact you know your work will have on a community. For me, that’s particularly true since I specialize in healthcare projects that are often complex and logistically challenging jobs usually being undertaken within an existing occupied hospital. It’s personally and professionally gratifying to know that my work will have a meaningful impact on the patients and the families and the community it serves.”

She also emphasized the importance of creating relationships and serve as a mentor for other women in the industry to help inspire confidence and build up future women leaders in construction.

“What I love about my role now is that I can help the younger generation navigate those difficult circumstances and conversations that we all run into as women in this industry and help them realize that they’re not alone…It’s particularly rewarding for me to be able to help provide that guidance or my perspective as this next generation is entering the industry.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)’s annual summer camp for middle- and high-school aged girls in DC, and Consigli’s partnership and support for the weeklong program aimed at encouraging more girls to consider careers in the trades, was featured in the Washington Post.

As the construction industry continues to face workforce challenges, opportunities like Camp NAWIC support Consigli’s efforts to help develop a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Naomi Doddington, Historic Preservationist in Consigli’s DC office and NAWIC member, volunteered at this year’s camp and was featured in the Washington Post column.

She shared why industry representation enables young girls to see themselves in working in the skilled trades and inspires them to pursue a rewarding career in construction.

“It’s all about getting to girls when they’re little. Like 8, 9 years old, putting the idea in their heads that this can be for them…by the time they’re seniors in high school, it might be too late.”

MILFORD, MA – Consigli’s all-women project team provided a unique—and welcome—perspective during the renovation of the YWCA in Worcester, Massachusetts.

“Staruk says these are all signs that the construction industry is starting to evolve. A women-led management team is certainly uncommon, she concedes, but filling the top roles with women wasn’t a gimmick. “It wasn’t just that we had one woman in each individual role,” Staruk says. “I had several women that I could pick from. So not only could we choose women to ensure this was an entirely female management team—it was also a diverse pool of women.”

Fast Company Magazine sat down with Consigli’s first women Project Executive, Jody Staruk to discuss “What a $17Mil Renovation Looks Like When Women Lead the Construction.”

Click here to read the full article

Consigli recently completed the Recapitalization and Renovation of the YWCA Central Massachusetts, Inc. with a commitment of a 100-percent women-led construction management team as a part of the city’s first community benefit agreement.

The comprehensive renovation to this mid-century modern facility, originally built in 1961 and most recently renovated in 1995. The project addressed deferred maintenance needs including M/E/P and accessibility upgrades, modernization of the interior finishes, repair of the building facade, updates to the existing playground and parking and traffic flow improvements. Throughout preconstruction, the Consigli team worked with the Owner, Architect and Owner’s Project Manager to re-sequence the project, cutting four months out of the schedule and reducing construction costs by 15% without sacrificing the mission and goals of the YWCA.
